The State and Territory revenue offices provide stamp duty assessment services for, and receive duty payments from, conveyancing transactions.

The Australian Registrars' National Electronic Conveyancing Council (ARNECC) was formed in 2011 under the Intergovernmental Agreement for an Electronic Conveyancing National Law (ECNL) for the purposes of coordinating a national approach among the States and Territories to the regulation of an electronic environment for completing conveyancing transactions.
