ARNECC is responsible for developing and maintaining the national regulatory framework for electronic conveyancing, including but not limited to the Model Operating Requirements and Model Participation Rules (MPR). ARNECC does not provide any advice or guidance on specific transactions, or on the application of the framework in individual circumstances.
ARNECC publishes Guidance Notes based on its MPR to assist Subscribers to understand what is expected of them in complying with the Participation Rules in each jurisdiction. These can be found here.
While ARNECC establishes the national regulatory framework, electronic conveyancing is regulated and administered by each jurisdiction. In the first instance, enquiries should be directed to the relevant jurisdictional land registry regarding land registry transactions, or the applicable Registrar-General’s office for jurisdiction specific electronic conveyancing queries (e.g. legislation and policy questions).
